Triathlon Training Calendar
Tri to Change the World™ provides young athletes a sample workout calendar below. These workouts are only suggestions and should be done with common sense, keeping in mind personal limitations. Parents/guardans should modify this plan to fit the skill level of the athlete. Do not begin any fitness routine without first being cleared by a doctor.

Training Tips
Always train with a responsible adult who is looking out for the athlete's best interests.
Warm up and stretch before beginning your workout. Working out cold muscles can lead to injury. Make sure to cool down afterwards, too.
Be aware of surroundings when training outside. Watch for cars, dogs, or other obstacles.
Always wear a helmet with the chin strap fastened when cycling.
Pacing counts. Save energy for the entire workout.
Don't train hard every day. Always have at least one day off per week, and some training days should be easier than others.
Practice transition skils. Moving from swim, to bike, to run is part of the race, too.
Smile while training. Some people say that smiling makes it easier.
Have fun!
